Service Project – Walk-a-thon

January 29 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

With the annual D.C. March for Life happening at the end of this month, it’s a great time to think about what we can do to support mothers in crisis pregnancies and their precious babies!

Mark your calendar for January 29, when we will be having a walk-a-thon to raise money for Choices Cinics (https://choicesclinics.org/), a local pregnancy center focused on helping these women have all the information and assistance they need to choose life for their babies. Here’s how it works:
First, register below. Shortly after you register, you will be emailed a form to keep track of your sponsors.
Second, find some relatives, friends, and neighbors to sponsor your family! They can sponsor your family for each 1/4 mile lap that you complete, or donate a set amount for the whole event. Put their names and dollar amounts on the form.
Third, come to the event on Friday, January 29 from 10am-12pm at the Apollo Beach Park! Your family will work together, relay-style, to complete as many 1/4 mile laps as you can. The more you walk, the more you earn for Choices! Some laps will be normal and some will be silly; we can support life and have fun at the same time! (Kids 5 and under can complete their laps on a bike/trike/scooter.)
Last, do the math and collect donations! Get back with your sponsors and let them know how many laps you completed, and how much they get to contribute!
Register right away so you can get a jump on collecting sponsors! Hope to see you on the 29th when we walk for life!
