Take a step back in time at Uzita, a interactive living history experience. Uzita is a 1/8 th replica of an Indeginous village that Conquistador Hernando de Soto occupied in 1539. Here Park staff dressed in period clothing do demonstrations of weapons, black smithing, and crafts throughout the day. There are many replica artifacts and armor on display that visitors are encouraged to pick up and try on.
In addition to the presentation, there is a film and a half mile self-guided tour. She said there will probably also be activity books for younger visitors and a nice picnic area for us to have lunch.
In case of rain, we have a back up date of April 12th.
Presentation begins at 11am. This one is FREE!
